Behind the Poll
There is much debate surrounding the issue of illegal immigration and whether or not immigrants who have entered the country illegally should be deported back to their home countries. Those who are in favor of deporting illegal immigrants argue that they are breaking the law by being in the United States without proper documentation and that they should be held accountable for their actions. They also argue that illegal immigrants take jobs away from American citizens and put a strain on the country’s resources.
Those who are against deporting illegal immigrants argue that many of them are simply seeking a better life for themselves and their families and that they should be given a chance to stay in the United States. They also argue that many illegal immigrants contribute to the economy and that deportations would be costly and cause families to be separated.
The issue of illegal immigration is a complex one that is sure to continue to be debated for many years to come. There are valid arguments on both sides of the issue, and there is no easy solution. What is clear, however, is that the United States needs to find a way to address the issue in a humane and effective manner.
